Clintons Create Wedding Fashion Buzz

The former President of the United States, the once governor of Arkansas Bill Clinton, saw his daughter Chelsea Clinton married just days ago. He and his wife, former 2008 presidential candidate and current Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, attended the ceremony together and Mrs. Clinton was definitely noticed for the fact that she was wearing something that snagged the attention of fashion afficianados. It turns out that Anna Wintour, the editor of Vogue fashion magazine, already advised Hillary to stop wearing her trade mark pant suits during the 2008 presidential campaign, but that her advice did not extend far enough to please many fashion fans. The outfit that the former First Lady was seen wearing has been loudly criticized by fashion experts as one of the worst she has been seen in public wearing to date – a genuine faux pas, say many critics. Those colored pant suits that were iconic with the image of Hillary Clinton have now been replaced by an image many say will burn in their minds for quite some time: a V neck caftan in a printed shade of green.

The insults were flying as soon as the photos hit the news magazines, with many critics saying that it looked as if Clinton had dressed herself as green bat. Other critics sided with Clinton on her daughter’s special day and said she looked positively glamorous. The color choice flattered Mrs. Clinton’s complexion, many say but the horizontal stripe of the dress and its extra fabric gave it a very unappealing shape. Daughter Chelsea wore Vera Wang.
